Something I thought would never come. (Another Update)

Have you ever received something that comes but you receive it after thnking it was so far away it would never come? Well Recently that happened to me. It has been one of the saddest moments on my mission. It´s a letter. A letter many wish for but really dont want to receive. Its called THE FAT LETTER. The letter starts off. Saying "REALEASE REMINDERS" BOOM That first word. Was just a shocker. Iwas not willing to believe that I had received this letter. I DONT want to have this letter. I want to stay on the mission. But i know my time comes. And swiftly coming it is. The next part of the letter says "Your term of missionary servicw will be completed on December 15, 2011

I received this paper on conference weekend. It was a shiocking paper. But seeing as it never seems to update if I send photos it will have to be photoless. I am shocked. I really just dont want it to come. I have so many more people to talk to. I have so much more servie to give. I need to serve. It is a feeling I cant describe. I hidden drive I neve knew exiested until I now see how time is so short. But I just want to scream some days opn how fast the days pass. How that day which was so far away comes ever faster to the brink of exploding. Its increasingly scary toi me how fast two years have past. Many times I put myself to reflect. Have I changed? If I have Has it been for the better? Has it been in the way the Lord has wanted me to change. DO I reflect more of his love? Some times The weeks pass by just so rapidly.

Somedays learning to live with another person is really hard. I just really didnt understand how Different the mission really is than to what I THOUGHt it was. But I know I have grown. I am sure it has been for the better, The Lord knows my heart and he is the only one who can perfecty judge to what I have done. Many things have been passing in my life. Slowly seeing everything from different points of view. One thing I know my parents will be surprised at is that I now like coconut Milk. n fact today we went to a beach and we "tumbared" Or tumbled coconuts from the coconut tree. and a whole bunch of us enjoyed the waer inside. I have to admit though it is better cold with a little bit of sugar. That is the best testing ok...maybe not best testing but I do like it now.

I have heard of many events from many friends and family things that are passing at home. People being engaged andf married many friends and family. People going off to college. People moving from aprtments to Town homes. Or from house to house- But. I was talking to a friend a fellow missionary. Who goes home much sooner than I do and I was telling him how I feel ready. Its all thanks to my parents and to the Lord. Theyt have helped me out so muych especially in preparing for the return which so rapidly comes. For details ask them for details Though. I love this place. I will be very sad to leave here. Its one of those things you dont know how much you love it till its gone. And at that moment your heart breaks fot it not being in your life. I know it will be like that. But we shall see what goes on. To all I love you tons. Keep everything going awesome. GO forward in Faith. JACOB 1:19

Love all

Just another one

Well well well............I have a feeling quite a few of my latest blogs have not made it.......Seeing as I reaceiveda ltter saying "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:" So.....You normal people probably never received them though my family did.....I hope. But anyhow. Right now We have one week till transfers. I am in an area called Torre Alta or High TOwer in Enlgish. Its supposedly the LARGEST area in the mission. Luckily though we do not because we can not go to all of it. We usually stay within alking distance which at most is about a good 30 minutes walking from the house. But it is a good distance. Occasionally we head out further when members bring us referals.

Today I saw one of the most beautiful things that I have seen. A crystal clear beach. The water was absolutly gorgeous. I think every single one of us ELders was tempted to jump in the water. It was gorgeous. My companion is Elder Contreras. We are working hard and trying to work effectivly.

BUt I am now out of time. But we are working with a few people we are contacting lots. and hope to soon have a fewpeople with baptism dates. Just remember the Spirit BOwl is coming up or better known as GENERAL CONFERENCE. Make sure to be praying and asking and listening for guidance. I love you all. You all rock!!!! Have fun!!!!!

Everything thats going on......Ok maybe not Everything.

Hey Everyone!!!!!

Another update of THE MISSION. As known from ELDER MICHAEL GORDON. This past littlen while has been rather difficult. THis past week has been contacting City. We are trying out a few new tactics as well. We are going around and talking to all the Members that are in our area and we are trying to help them do the goal that the stake has put for the stake. They have the goal to have everyone bring opne person to get to know the church. To try to find the opne that will be baptized and endure to the end.  Its a rather good goal. We are trying to help the stake acheive it. From what we ahve seen all the memebers have a rather good animo for this goal.

THis past week went from super hot to a really good clouded nice breeze week. It has been super nice. Rerally nice for lots of contacting.  This past week my companiopn had a rather fun adventure.  We were heading back from Ranchito Piche whenwhen we had a gang of samurai warriors attack us. My companion and I thought we were done for. We started to defend ourselves with the explosive power of our testimonies and as well as Using our pass along cards and our scriptures as shields. Luckily the sheilds held up. We had taken out about 20  out of 50 when  We were starting tio get tired this was at the end of the day so we were really tired. When Jackie chan jumped off from the building right next to us and starting to help us out.  With his help we took them out easily. We were rather thankful to Jackie but he took off to go help other people. So we couldnt take any photos with him.

Also this past week I lost a battle against the lawn mower. The lawn mower won. I let you know how bad it was. But if you want to send me questtions. And it would definetly make updating this blog a lot easier.  Today we ate at a place called burgers ya. It was fantastic. The burgers were huge. With my burger I started eating it and about 4 paper towels later I finished. With Frys and Cheese. It was DELICIOUS. But send me  questions you want me to answer it will make updating my blog a lot Easier.

Love Elder Gordon

Another update from yuor favorite Elder

What do you get when you mix an island in the carribbean with lots of rain......................some very wet Elders.

Ok enough of the dry humor. Hehehehe.....

Speaking about dry humor  what do you get when you put a hot sun on a wet island.....a humid island and lots of heat and the Elders are still wet......

Ok Anyhow. This past week has been incredibly hot! It has been in the 90s.....I think. Around there at least. Which after having along time since being in such hot weather it makes me glad I am coming back to the States when its cold.....It gives me time to warm up to my desert again. This past week has been full of rejections. We have been tracking a lot and it has been extremely difficult I dont think I have had more rejections in my mssion then here. But whats weird is that I love it. When I am just in  the work. No matter what part of it that I am in. I  absolutly LOVE IT!!!!!!Even if its super hot or Super wet outside. i love it!!!!! My momsent me this really cool quote that I would like to add here.

It's so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to.  ~Annie Gottlier

That is such a true statement. I dont like to do things when I have to. But when I want to. WOW. The difference in my work. The willingness and the desire. Its a lot different. I am going to learn better how to appply this to my life. But mainly right now in Los Reyes. Everything is doing awesome. This transfer there are 22 missionaries finishing the mission and only 4 coming in. Isnt that Crazy?????? The mission is going to be come alot smaller. It was close to raining here....agai but I dont think its going to.....I am not quite sure. I hope it will bvecause it makes sleeping at nigfht so much easier. If anyone of you want to know how it is to sleep go into a house without airconditioning .....well a block house that doesnt have any type of insulation not a single fdoor that closes well nor windows that shut. And you have a few open areasesposed to outside. And then only a fan to sleep with......That more or less how we sleep here. And how our houses are here. Its a lot of fun.

Contacting is so fun. You meet so many different types of people. Everyone seems like they have lost their religious valor. Its sad. We have never gotten a door slammed in iour face but we have very few people whop want to listen. You return missionaries I believe know how it is. We have a good week comig up lots of people to try to find because of all the contacting. But its ok we are oing to keep working.

Right now we are in the ward chhoir. For a stake mission conference for this saturday and a stake geneology conference on Sunday. It has been really awesome to be part of a choir again. To sing parts and to sound really good with the Lords help. It has been pretty awesome. We actually have our last practice tronight in about an hour. Thats gonig to be awesome. Well.....Thats about all I got. If you want to learn more feel free o ask qustions. Have a fantasmic week!!!!!!
